Prof. B.L.Handoo has been in the field of education: teaching, teacher- training, mentoring, innovating, managing schools and advising managements for over 40 years now.

Prof. B.L.Handoo is a Gold Medallist with a Masters Degree in English Language and Literature, a First Class First M.Ed. Degree and a PG. Diploma in Distance Education from IGNOU, Delhi. He researched extensively at RCEM, Ajmer; on Piaget’s Concept of Cognitive Development, for his PhD in Educational Psychology.

Prof. B.L.Handoo has also been awarded a Doctorate in Educational Psychology by the Cosmopolitan University, Missouri; USA.

Prof. Handoo taught English Language and Literature for 12 years to Degree Classes at Srinagar, Kashmir. He has been Founder Principal of a Teacher Education College for Women, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir; where he worked for eleven years. He has been a Consultant to Vishwa Bharati, for whom he established Schools & Colleges in Srinagar, Jammu and Noida.

Prof. Handoo headed the:-

· Gyan Bharati, Saket, New Delhi and

· Apeejay, Sheikh Saria−New Delhi.

Prof. Handoo was Educational Advisor to the MIER Centre at Delhi.

Prof. Handoo was Honorary Director and Principal of the Rani Laximibai Group of Public Schools and established institutions for the Group at Jhansi, Lalitapur (U.P) and Datia (M.P).

Prof. Handoo also functioned as Director RLVM, Hathras

Prof. Handoo worked for a brief period as Vice Chancellor of Aquatech University, Raipur.

Prof. Handoo has been Educational Consultant & Dean of Schools, for over Five Years, to Darshan Education Foundation, Delhi; which runs fifteen Educational Institutions all over India and is pioneering a movement in Spiritual Curriculum and Holistic Education.

Prof. Handoo worked as Director-Principal cum Dean of Chaman Vatika Residential Public School and Chaman Vatika International School at Ambala.

Prof. Handoo was Educational Advisor to Vibgyor International School, Philkhowa, Hapur

Prof. Handoo has been involved in Measurement and Evaluation with CBSE, CISSE and IGNOU; in Teacher Education, Innovations in Teaching and Development of Models of Value Education for NCERT. He has been Project Director of Regional and National Level Workshops for NCERT and CBSE.

Prof. Handoo is the recipient of scores of Honours and Awards, including the Distinguished Educationist Award of PTA India (Award given to him by Prof. Yashpal, Former Chairman University Grants Commission), and The Best Teacher Award of International Children’s Movement (Award given to him by Mr. P.A. Sangama, the Former Speaker of Lok Sabha).

Prof. Handoo is an ELT EXPERT, and accomplished trainer in Accelerated Learning & Super Power Learning Techniques. He is a Student Advisor and a Guidance Counsellor.

Prof. Handoo is on the Management of scores of Leading Public Schools including the Dayawati Modi Group & KV’s and has organised Teacher Training Workshops on different themes, across the whole of India.

Prof. Handoo has addressed over 3000 Pre-Service teachers of B.Ed. Colleges at Delhi, Jammu and U.P.

Prof. Handoo has held counselling and sensitisation workshops for the Principals and Teachers of Air Force Schools at:

· Ludhiana

· Kanpur

· Pune and

· Kolkata.

Prof. Handoo was the Main Speaker at the 16^th Annual Conference of Delhi Sikh Public Schools, where he spoke an “Education for Excellence”.

Prof. Handoo has been advising and guiding parents in Parent Orientation Programmes in and around Delhi.

Prof. Handoo has held Mentoring Sessions and Workshops on ‘How to Improve the Teaching-Learning Process” at Aligarh, Lucknow, Hathras, Rampur, Varanasi, Sampla, Rohtak, Ambala, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jammu, Sonepat, Gohana, Jalandhar, Kalka, Hissar; besides scores of Schools at Delhi.

Press and journalism and many of them are the best teachers in accredited Institutions of India.

Prof. Handoo has been on Selection Boards for interviews of Principals and teachers for prestigious Schools in India and Abroad.

Prof Handoo is a voracious reader, has been travelling extensively to study Systems, Operating Procedures, Quality Assurance Techniques etc. of Educational Systems of UK, USA, China, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, France, Germany and other developed and developing Nations.

Prof Handoo has in the recent past been associated with the Quality Council of India, Delhi; in the Accreditation Process & Quality Improvement of Education & Governance of Schools in India.
